APPS / DEVELOPMENT & AUTOMATION

Custom web apps built around your work.

Custom web app development turns a recurring business process into a focused interface. 0OP builds internal tools, dashboards, and portals that connect the people making decisions with the systems doing the work.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Where the work gets stuck

A spreadsheet or a chain of messages can carry a process surprisingly far. Eventually, people need different permissions, records become difficult to track, or the same information gets copied into several places. A custom app is useful when it gives that process a dependable home, not simply a more polished screen over the same confusion.

WHAT WE CAN BUILD

Apps workflows with a clear purpose

↗

Internal tools and dashboards

Give a team one place to review records, handle exceptions, and see what needs attention. Build screens around actual tasks, with clear states for empty data, failed operations, and work awaiting approval.

↗

Customer and partner portals

Create a focused interface for sharing information, collecting requests, or following progress. Define which records each user can access and which updates require review before they become visible to others.

↗

Integrated workflows

Connect the app to approved data sources and services. Automate routine steps behind the interface while keeping important actions understandable, traceable, and recoverable when an external system fails.

FROM BRIEF TO HANDOFF

How the project comes together

  1. Map one complete journey

Start with who uses the app, what they need to accomplish, and what a successful outcome looks like. Identify the data owner and the source of truth for each important record.

  2. Prototype the useful part

Build the smallest complete workflow and review it with realistic data. Test the interface before expanding the feature list, especially where permissions and approval decisions affect the design.

  3. Test, release, and maintain

Verify the main paths, error states, and integrations before release. Agree on hosting, backups, monitoring, and ongoing changes so the app has an operating plan as well as a launch date.

SCOPE & CONTROL

Keep the boundaries explicit

Features, integrations, and user access are scoped before implementation. A prototype is not presented as a production service. External APIs, hosting costs, maintenance, and data migration need explicit decisions; adding AI does not remove those responsibilities.

Questions about Apps

Should I build a custom app or use an existing product?

Use an existing product when it fits the workflow well. A custom app becomes worth considering when the gaps create recurring manual work, require several awkward workarounds, or prevent a process that matters to the business.

Can an app connect to my current spreadsheets and CRM?

That is often a useful starting point. We check the available interfaces and agree on which system owns each piece of data. The app should reduce duplicate entry rather than become another conflicting database.

Does the app have to include AI?

No. The interface and integrations should solve the underlying problem first. AI can be added where interpreting information or preparing a draft helps, with review and fallback behavior appropriate to the task.
